Waiting-room display
Put a screen on the wall and the whole room can see who's next, with a chime, so no one has to listen for their name.
In most waiting rooms, patients just sit and listen for their name. That's easy to miss, awkward to ask about, and stressful if you step away for even a minute.
Any TV or monitor in the room can run the waiting-room display: a live, read-only view of the queue for one doctor or several side by side. It updates the moment a doctor calls the next patient, and chimes so nobody has to strain to hear it over a busy room.
- The screen only displays the queue. It can't be used to change or manage it.
- It highlights whoever was just called and plays a chime, whether it's showing one doctor's queue or several.
- Each patient's estimated wait shows right alongside their position.
- If the connection drops for a moment, the screen keeps showing the last known queue instead of going blank.
